The Forging process produces extremely tough components with a high strength-to-weight ratio. Their structural reliability is superior to many other metal processes because there are no internal gas pockets or voids that could cause unexpected failure under stress or impact. This allows reduced inspection requirements, uniform response to heat treatment, and also provides a dependable machining base for metal-cutting processes such as turning, milling, drilling and boring.

Forged components can be produced to particularly close tolerances with surfaces that are suited to plating, polishing, painting, or treatment with decorative or protective coatings. We can also produce forgings that are ready for use without surface conditioning or machining.

Importantly, the characteristics of a forged component can be reliably and consistently reproduced from one production batch to the next. We can even manufacture a single-piece forging that can eliminate the need for multi-component assemblies.
