Machining:

All machining processes involve the removal of material to form a desired shape. Most machining processes are used for metals, however machining can also be used to shape plastics and other materials.

CNC machining is extremely precise and ideal when working with tight tolerances. Often used with other processes, such as casting. A rough casting will be produced which is slightly oversize and any critical dimensions will be subsequently machined.
